The museum of the submerged sunken wrecks, dedicated to the memory of the sea, was opened in July 2020 following the signing of the directive that designates Villa Genovesi to serve as a reminder of its two Roman wrecks submerged off the Capo Sant'Alessio castle and the traditions, trades and cults related to its sea.

The museum houses an exhibition area where an anchor and two Roman amphoras were recovered from the two wrecks at sea, as well as a series of tools belonging to fishermen and ex masters and donated by their heirs.

Among the donations there are also beautiful photos of men and women from Sant'alessio linked to the history of its sea. The museum also houses a didactic area for children and a reading area where you can find classic and modern texts for adults and children.
